Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Tool Install Superintendent to join our Boise-based team on a large, complex semiconductor construction project. You will supervise tool install activities, coordinate field crews, and ensure safety, quality, and alignment with project schedules in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

This on-site role requires hands-on field experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with subcontractors, vendors, and facilities teams in a controlled cleanroom setting.

Qualifications

• Trade or degree background in construction preferred.
• 5+ years in industrial or high-tech construction; semiconductor/microelectronics preferred.
• Hands-on tool installation experience in semiconductor/advanced manufacturing.
• Experience in cleanroom or controlled environments preferred.
• Familiarity with MEP systems in high-volume manufacturing facilities.
• Understanding of construction schedules and sequencing.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and field execution.
• Good direction-following, clear communication with field crews.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary field representative for tool installation scopes with PM/CM oversight.
• Supervise daily tool installation activities: move-in, setting, hookup, testing, turnover.
• Coordinate field activities among subcontractors, trades, and vendor teams.
• Track progress against schedule using project software; report status and issues.
• Attend daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and safety huddles.
• Enforce safety requirements and client SOPs, including cleanroom controls.
• Ensure workmanship aligns with drawings, specs, and standards.
• Support short-interval planning, look-ahead schedules, and manpower coordination.
• Identify field issues early and escalate to PM/CM as needed.
• Maintain field documentation: daily reports, checklists, punch lists.
