Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Santa Rosa, CA, seeks a proactive IC Product Engineer to join the IC Product Engineering group. You will interface with design, process, and test teams to ensure high-quality ICs and efficient product lines, while owning projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • Hands-on electrical characterization and validation of semiconductor devices and ICs, including RF/analog/mixed-signal/high-speed measurements.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret production test data; apply statistics to identify trends and improve yield, performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product yield and reliability.
  • Assist in root-cause investigations for product, test, and manufacturing issues.
  • Support lab testing, characterization, and validation of ICs for product development and manufacturing.
  • Own and prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
  • Support product development and new circuit/packaged product introductions (NCI/NPPI).

This role is in the High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC) at our Headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA. HFTC is part of Keysight's Advanced Technology Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Centers of Excellence and other business groups to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G solutions to customers in various industries, including AI infrastructure, communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, and semiconductor industries.

The primary responsibilities of an IC Product Engineer include:

  • Analyze and interpret production test data and apply statistical methods to identify trends and improve yield, performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, integration, and test engineering to ensure product yield, performance, and reliability
  • Assist in root-cause investigations for product, test, and manufacturing issues
  • Support laboratory testing, characterization, and validation of integrated circuits for product development and manufacturing
  • Own/prepare technical reports, and engineering documentation
  • Support product development and new circuit/packaged product introductions (NCI/NPPI)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Familiarity with semiconductor device physics (BJTs, FETs) and circuit design principles
  • Hands-on experience with electrical characterization and validation of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, including RF, analog, mixed-signal, or high-speed measurements
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical tools
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and failure analysis techniques is a significant plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proven leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion

This role is based in Santa Rosa, CA
