Job summary

CKD USA Corporation is seeking a driven Procurement Specialist to identify, plan, select, and purchase materials for the Semiconductor Business Unit. You will work with production control, sales, and engineering to forecast demand and manage supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years purchasing experience, understands contracts, and can negotiate effectively. A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 Years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing/office setting.
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing and transportation.
• Understanding and experience dealing with purchasing contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills.
• Able to interpret technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience working across functions, businesses and regions.
• International purchasing experience is a plus.
• Japanese bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine strategic purchasing needs for the semiconductor business unit.
• Forecast demand with production control, sales and engineering teams.
• Negotiate with vendors for best pricing and payment options.
• Bid, award, and administer project purchases to suppliers.
• Provide cost management and analyze pricing changes.
• Coordinate quotes and pricing; RMAs and defects with engineering.
• Manage inventory; record purchases and stock levels.
• Monitor deliveries and past due shipments.
• Build relationships with suppliers and assess performance.
• Conduct supplier reviews and ensure compliance.
