Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent business experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine strategic purchasing needs for the semiconductor unit based on customer requirements.
• Forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels with production control, sales and engineering.
• Negotiate with vendors for best pricing and payment options.
• Bid, award and administer project supply and purchase orders.
• Provide cost management and analyze pricing changes for goods and services.
• Coordinate with sales on quotes and pricing; work with engineering on RMAs and defects.
• Manage inventory and records of purchases and stock levels.
• Monitor deliveries and past due shipments.
• Build supplier relationships and manage performance.
• Conduct supplier reviews, evaluating performance and compliance.
• Maintain professional image and adhere to company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CKD USA Corporation is looking for a driven candidate for the Procurement Specialist position. This position is responsible for identifying, planning, selecting and purchasing the materials required for the Semiconductor Business Unit.The ideal candidate is someone detail oriented, analytical, organized and who works well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic purchasing needs of the semiconductor business unit based on customer requirements.
• Work with production control, sales and engineering teams to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels, based on future orders from customers.
• Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options.
• Bid, award, and administer project supply, services and purchase orders to suppliers.
• Provide cost management to identify areas of potential cost reduction and analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods and services.
• Coordinate with sales team to provide quotes and pricing levels; coordinate with engineering team for RMAs and quality or shipment defects.
• Manage inventory and assist in the receipt of purchased materials and services by keeping detailed records of purchases and stocks.
• Monitor deliveries and any past due shipments.
• Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance.
• Conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance.
• Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• 2-3 Years of previous purchasing experience in similar industry and in an office environment.
• Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing and transportation.
• Understanding and experience dealing with purchasing contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses and regions.
• Previous international purchasing experience a plus.
• Japanese bilingual a plus

Education:

• 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent business experience in a manufacturing environment.
