Job summary

ASM is seeking a Process Engineering Technician to support process development activities in the R&D laboratory. You will operate process equipment, handle wafers and samples, perform measurements, and maintain accurate records to enable rapid learning cycles and successful tech development.

You will collaborate with Process Engineers to collect data, ensure lab readiness, and assist in troubleshooting while promoting safety and efficiency in the cleanroom.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma; an Associate's in Engineering, Applied Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• 2+ years in semiconductor manufacture, R&D lab, process development, or similar environment.
• Hands-on cleanroom experience and familiarity with wafer handling and lab operations.
• Experience operating metrology or inspection tools and following precise procedures.
• Strong documentation practices and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine wafer processing according to defined experimental plans and procedures.
• Operate semiconductor process equipment under guidance of Process Engineers.
• Load/unload/track wafers and samples through experiment flows.
• Maintain organized lab environment and adhere to safety protocols.
