Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a materials characterization engineer to apply XPS, XRD, SEM, SIMS, ellipsometry, and resistance measurements to characterize materials and guide improvements toward program goals.

You will perform Statistical Process Control, clean room device fabrication, and device/materials characterization, collaborating with equipment, manufacturing, and integration engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control, quality metrics and SPC tooling.
• Familiarity with clean room device fabrication processes for semiconductor materials.
• Proven ability to characterize materials using XPS, XRD, SEM, SIMS, ellipsometry and related techniques.

Responsibilities

• Apply materials characterization techniques (XPS, XRD, SEM, SIMS, ellipsometry, resistance measurements) to characterize materials and guide improvements toward program goals.
• Collaborate with equipment, manufacturing, integration, and other engineers to transfer materials developments to production.
• Own transfer of new films and technology developments to manufacturing sites.
• Support statistical process control and process optimization efforts across teams.
