Job summary

Teledyne Imaging Sensors invites applications for a Semiconductor Process Engineer. You will design, optimize, and sustain high‑performance detector fabrication processes and support production in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree with 3+ years experience (Master’s with 2+ years acceptable) and strong data analysis, DOE and process control skills. Excellent communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience, or Master’s with 2+ years.
  • Hands-on silicon device fabrication and cleanroom experience preferred.
  • DOE, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process control experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for silicon and HgCdTe detector arrays.
  • Support detector production and process development in a cleanroom environment.
  • Work across lithography, etch, annealing, metallization, and metrology to improve yield.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with development engineers to transfer technologies to manufacturing.
  • Analyze SPC data, run experiments, and support equipment qualification.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for high‑performance silicon and HgCdTe detector arrays
  • Support detector production and process development in a cleanroom environment
  • Work across photolithography, wet/dry etch, annealing, metallization, and metrology modules to improve yield and throughput
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous process improvements and new process development
  • Collaborate with development engineers to transfer new technologies into manufacturing
  • Analyze SPC data, run experiments, and contribute to process documentation and equipment qualification
  • Execute and track production using MES while complying with AS9100 quality standards
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience
  • Strong foundation in semiconductor device design and fabrication techniques
  • Hands‑on experience with silicon device fabrication and cleanroom operations (preferred)
  • Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process control
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software; flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Salary Range: $113,600.00-$151,400.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
