Teledyne Scientific & Imaging, based in California, is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for high-performance detectors. The role involves collaboration with engineers and process development in a cleanroom environment.

  • Support detector production and process development in a cleanroom environment.
  • Collaborate with development engineers for technology transfer.

Skills

Strong foundation in semiconductor device design and fabrication techniques
Hands-on experience with silicon device fabrication and cleanroom operations
Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process control
Strong communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software

What You’ll Do
  • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for high‑performance silicon and HgCdTe detector arrays
  • Support detector production and process development in a cleanroom environment
  • Work across photolithography, wet/dry etch, annealing, metallization, and metrology modules to improve yield and throughput
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous process improvements and new process development
  • Collaborate with development engineers to transfer new technologies into manufacturing
  • Analyze SPC data, run experiments, and contribute to process documentation and equipment qualification
  • Execute and track production using MES while complying with AS9100 quality standards
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience
  • Strong foundation in semiconductor device design and fabrication techniques
  • Hands‑on experience with silicon device fabrication and cleanroom operations (preferred)
  • Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process control
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software; flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Salary Range

$113,600.00 - $151,400.00

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
