Job summary

Teledyne Imaging Sensors in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to design and optimize high‑performance detector arrays. You will support production in a cleanroom, work across lithography, etch and metallization steps, and implement continuous improvements to yield and throughput.

The role requires a solid background in semiconductor fabrication, DOE and SPC expertise, and excellent communication and multitasking abilities. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with focus on semiconductor fabrication and device design.
  • Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process control.
  • Hands-on cleanroom experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for silicon and HgCdTe detector arrays.
  • Support detector production and process development in a cleanroom environment.
  • Collaborate across photolithography, etch, annealing, metallization, and metrology to improve yield.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvements.
  • Transfer new technologies into manufacturing with development engineers.
  • Analyze SPC data, run experiments, and document processes and equipment qualification.
  • Execute and track production using MES in compliance with AS9100.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for high‑performance silicon and HgCdTe detector arrays

  • Support detector production and process development in a cleanroom environment

  • Work across photolithography, wet/dry etch, annealing, metallization, and metrology modules to improve yield and throughput

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous process improvements and new process development

  • Collaborate with development engineers to transfer new technologies into manufacturing

  • Analyze SPC data, run experiments, and contribute to process documentation and equipment qualification

  • Execute and track production using MES while complying with AS9100 quality standards

What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience

  • Strong foundation in semiconductor device design and fabrication techniques

  • Hands‑on experience with silicon device fabrication and cleanroom operations (preferred)

  • Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process control

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software; flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Salary Range:

$113,600.00-$151,400.000
