Job summary

UST is seeking a Validation Engineer to join the Associate I - Semiconductor Product Validation track in Chandler, AZ. You will conduct performance testing across CPU, memory, storage, graphics, and GPU compute workloads, and triage issues found during validation.

The role emphasizes benchmarking, scripting, and post‑silicon validation, with opportunities to work on a variety of processor and display pipelines in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ yrs experience in platform/BIOS/system validation of servers or client computers.
• Familiarity with performance benchmarking tools.
• Bash/Python scripting knowledge or C/C++ programming will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Benchmarking and workload execution.
• Run CPU benchmarks (SPEC CPU, Geekbench, Coremark).
• Execute memory bandwidth/latency tests (STREAM, lmbench, MLC).
• Storage I/O benchmarking.
• Network throughput testing.
• Graphics & Media benchmarking.
• GPU compute performance testing.
• Video encode/decode throughput validation.
• Display pipeline performance testing.
• NPU performance testing.
• Triage of issues detected during testing.
• Sanity testing.
• Regression testing.
