Job summary

dawarconsulting is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler in San Diego, CA to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and material distribution. The role includes handling components and parts with careful documentation and proper packaging.

You will work with ERP systems, manage inventory records, and assist with assembling material kits for internal and external operations, potentially operating a forklift and lifting heavy items as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of material handling or related experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and document gaps.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping, receiving, packing, unpacking, and material handling activities.
• Safely handle delicate and sensitive equipment, parts, and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
• Follow detailed packaging procedures and use judgment for non-standard equipment.
• Work with ERP, email, and project management systems.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and monitor packing material supplies.
• Submit timely requests for replenishment of packing materials.
• Assist with preparing material kits for internal or external assembly operations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support outbound shipments.
• May operate a forklift and lift heavy items as required.
