Job summary

JobTrain, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Instructor to teach semiconductor fundamentals and hands-on skills at rotating Bay Area Career Centers, including Menlo Park and San Jose.

The part-time role supports a 6-week cohort each quarter, with classes Monday–Friday mornings and/or evenings (20 hours per week). You will update curriculum with the Semi Foundation, deliver engaging instruction, and assist graduates with job placement while maintaining records and collaborating with

Qualifications

• Advanced Manufacturing certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED or higher.
• 3-5 years teaching or training in Advanced Manufacturing.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IIoT is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update Advanced Manufacturing curriculum with the Semi Foundation and deliver curriculum.
• Incorporate prior advanced manufacturing experience into hands-on activities.
• Invite guest speakers, arrange field trips, identify potential employers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal requirements and modify curriculum accordingly.
• Keep up to date with advanced manufacturing trends.
• Create and maintain records, schedules, and course requirements.
• Screen and enroll cohorts.
• Monitor attendance records and report to accounting.
• Order supplies and updated materials for class work.
• Evaluate trainee progress and document outcomes.
• Assist graduates with job placement by connecting to employers.
• Collaborate with Employment Specialists on job placement services.
• Teach in alignment with JobTrain’s mission and outcomes.
• Pursue professional growth through seminars and publications.
