Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the CHD FAB Diffusion maintenance team in Chandler, AZ. You will perform Preventative Maintenance on diffusion equipment, including tube/boat changes, cleaning, rebuilds, and keeping quartz ware inventory up to date.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, electronic, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems; performing scheduled PM tasks; documenting work; and potentially training others.

Qualifications

• AA, AS, AAS or related field education preferred.
• Experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Job description

The candidate selected will be responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance for the CHD FAB Diffusion maintenance team including tube/boat changes, cleaning, rebuild and inventory management of quartz ware, subcomponents, and other assemblies related to the PMs.

The technician will be responsible for these activities on the toolsets below: Diffusion SVG VTR 7000 Furnace TEA Alpha-8 Furnace SVG AVP 8000 Furnace Lumonics WaferMark Laser Scribe TEL α-858 Furnace TEL WAVES Furnace Leak detectors Various supporting metrology equipment EPI experience a plus

The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of fab functional areas.

The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of 5s and demonstrate problem solving skills.

The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied.

The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and may train others on related tasks.

The candidate should be self-driven and capable of working independently for extended periods of time, focusing on quality and efficiency, in order to achieve First Time Right and Duration goals for PM completion.

The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.

The position requires working a compressed shift on the Days 2 schedule.

Education and Skills:

AA, AS, AAS, or education progress in electronics, chemistry, mechanical, or industrial engineering related discipline is preferred.

Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
