Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Chandler, AZ is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on CHD FAB Diffusion equipment, including furnace/tool upkeep and spare part inventory. The role requires troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You should be able to work independently, stand for long shifts, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• PM duties for CHD FAB Diffusion equipment including tube/boat changes and inventory management.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
• Document tasks and assist training as needed.
• Must communicate effectively and work toward First Time Right goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance for the CHD FAB Diffusion maintenance team including tube/boat changes, cleaning, rebuild and inventory management of quartz ware, subcomponents, and other assemblies related to the PMs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems; conduct scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
• Interface with internal/external groups to ensure safety, performance and reliability requirements are met.
• Complete documentation and may train others on related tasks.
• Work independently for extended periods, focus on quality and efficiency, and meet First Time Right and Duration goals for PM completion.

Responsibilities

The candidate selected will be responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance for the CHD FAB Diffusion maintenance team including tube/boat changes, cleaning, rebuild and inventory management of quartz ware, subcomponents, and other assemblies related to the PMs. The technician will be responsible for these activities on the toolsets below:

• Diffusion
• SVG VTR 7000 Furnace
• TEA Alpha-8 Furnace
• SVG AVP 8000 Furnace
• Lumonics WaferMark Laser Scribe
• TEL α-858 Furnace
• TEL WAVES Furnace
• Leak detectors
• Various supporting metrology equipment
• EPI experience a plus

The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of fab functional areas. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of 5s and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and may train others on related tasks.

The candidate should be self-driven and capable of working independently for extended periods of time, focusing on quality and efficiency, in order to achieve First Time Right and Duration goals for PM completion.

The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.

The position requires working a compressed shift on the Days 2 schedule.

Education And Skills

AA, AS, AAS, or education progress in electronics, chemistry, mechanical, or industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
