NXP Semiconductors in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Experienced ECHO Equipment Engineer to maintain and enhance wafer fabrication equipment across Photo, Etch, Cleans, Metrology or Films. You will drive tool performance, data-driven improvements, and 24x7 operations in a high-tech fab.

The role requires a BS in a technical field and at least 2 years of semiconductor equipment experience, plus strong communication and training skills. Export controls clearance is required.

  • At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

  • Able to work in a 24x7 manufacturing facility with shifting priorities.

  • Improve tool reliability, throughput, and cost performance.
  • Develop and implement Six-Sigma SPC methods and action plans.

Experienced ECHO Equipment Engineering Role

Semiconductor fab Equipment Engineer

  • Maintain, upgrade, and monitor wafer fabrication equipment in various semiconductor equipment supporting Photo, Etch, Cleans, Metrology or Films
  • Identification and variation reduction of process & tool performance
  • Increasing production capacity on new and existing toolsets
  • Identify and support defectivity/scrap reduction efforts
  • Defining Out of Control Action Plans
  • Improving tool reliability and availability
  • Improving cost performance of processes
  • Improving process monitoring and sensor capabilities
  • Qualifying alternate parts
  • Developing and writing specifications
  • Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods
  • Participating in and/or leading cross-functional and lean activity teams
Job Qualifications:

BS or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or another technical field.

At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing supporting equipment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Export Control Clearance.

Ability to generate, analyze, interpret equipment, process performance data, and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failures.

Demonstrated presentation skills.

Candidate will be called upon to train others and present complex datasets and process problems/ solutions to diverse audiences.

Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and repair them.

Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to interact effectively with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility.

Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking.

Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self.

A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment.
