Job summary

WGNSTAR in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to perform visual inspections, preventive maintenance, and system calibrations on semiconductor processing tools. The role requires hands-on mechanical work, interpretation of schematics, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Required minimum 6 months on any semiconductor toolset.
• Proficiency interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on disassembly/assembly of semiconductor tools.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes including etching, deposition, and lithography systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections and respond to equipment errors per customer direction.
• Follow SOPs to perform preventive maintenance: clean sensors, replace worn components, calibrate alignment systems.
• Maintain air and nitrogen systems: check filtration, purge lines, validate purge cycles.
• Monitor robotic transfers between process tools to ensure smooth operation.
• Document all maintenance activities and system checks for compliance.
• Update inventory of cages and related equipment.
• Perform area safety and cleanliness walks.
