Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support manufacturing through material handling, chemical inventory control, and logistics coordination. This role ensures the seamless flow of materials, safety compliance, and alignment with production needs.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting materials, SAP-driven stock transactions, weekly counts, Kanban restocking, and coordination with procurement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or materials support role.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification required.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to maintain digital inventory records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends based on business needs.
• Ability to handle routine inquiries and maintain effective cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Stock, receive, inspect, and route incoming materials and chemicals with accurate documentation.
• Monitor and restock Kanban materials based on production usage and requirements.
• Collaborate with Procurement to maintain inventory levels and prevent production disruptions.
• Execute and manage material stock transactions in SAP.
• Conduct weekly physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
• Track batch expiration dates and coordinate replacements as needed.
• Prepare wafers for scrapping and coordinate shipment per procedures.
• Maintain safety supplies cabinet and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Monitor dumpsters and yard space; dispose of old pallets and crates to maximize space.
• Provide general cross-department support and assist with other duties as required.
