Job summary

EMD Electronics, a unit of Merck Group, is hiring a MEGASYS technician to ensure the supply of gases and chemicals for semiconductor manufacturing. This full-time role involves 12-hour onsite shifts, including weekends and holidays, and requires travel nationwide.

You will work with advanced gas and chemical blending equipment, adhere to safety procedures, and participate in 24/7 operations and emergency protocols. If you are technically inclined and ready to relocate, we invite you to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in semiconductor, chemical, or manufacturing environments.
• Associate Degree in Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Understand safe work practices and lockout/tag out procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read flow transmitters and pressure transducers.
• Knowledge of materials of construction and chemical compatibility.
• Awareness to identify unsafe conditions and report them to management.
• Excellent teamwork and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate gas and chemical distribution systems.
• Handle and change-out gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative and repair maintenance on equipment.
• Use computers to support job functions and customer needs.
• Support quality systems and adhere to site protocols.
• Act as the primary communication point to the customer.
