Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. seeks a Failure Analysis Technician to perform high-volume SEM, FIB, TEM analyses and support QA/QC evaluations. You will manage imaging queues, produce reports, and train across FA techniques to meet turnaround targets.

The role requires 2nd shift (Sun-Wed 3:00pm-1:30am) after a 3-month training period (Mon-Fri, 8:00-5:00). US Person per ITAR; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 5+ years in Semiconductor industry required.
• 3+ years operating SEM/FIB/TEM failure analysis tools.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to accuracy and timely execution.
• Shift: Second shift Sun–Wed 3:00pm–1:30am after initial training Mon–Fri 8:00–5:00.
• U.S. Person required per ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume routine SEM, FIB, TEM and analytical analysis.
• Manage imaging queue and complete high-priority requests within turnaround times.
• Create and present reports summarizing results, in person or virtually.
• Participate in training across failure analysis techniques and toolsets.
• Schedule PMs on imaging tools to follow audit requirements.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of failure analysis tools.
• Operate within lab safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve process issues.
• Work in a team environment and coordinate tool utilization to maximize output.
