Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a qualified Failure Analysis Engineer to join the Board Level Reliability lab. You will set up and run electrical and mechanical tests on GPU/Tegra products, develop test automation scripts, and perform advanced failure analysis using CSAM and X-ray imaging.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of FA experience, with strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities. Equity and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years semiconductor FA experience.
• Experience with failure analysis techniques including PFA, CSAM, and X-ray inspection.
• Familiarity with electronic testing, reliability validation, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Comfortable working with Windows, Linux, and CentOS.
• Basic programming/scripting knowledge for test automation.
• Experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, curve tracers).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up functional test hardware and software for NV products, including large server systems.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automated test programs.
• Set up and operate probing systems to perform electrical functional tests.
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing along with PFA to identify failure mechanisms.
• Conduct advanced failure analysis using CSAM and X-ray imaging.
• Analyze failure data, correlate test results, and generate root-cause reports.
• Maintain, debug, and improve test setups and lab infrastructure.
• Assist in lab maintenance, calibration, and materials control.
