Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Construction Mechanical Piping Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced piping systems (EXH, PCW) in a state-of-the-art semiconductor fab in Phoenix, AZ. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cleanroom discipline in a high-tech environment.

Responsibilities range from assisting with basic pipe work to leading teams on complex inspections and system optimization, with travel for training as needed and 24/7 shift flexibility after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical piping installation and maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the requirements of mechanical piping systems.
• Familiarity with pipe joining techniques (welding, brazing, mechanical coupling) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of HVAC or utility piping standards and installation procedures is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety and cleanliness protocols for industrial and cleanroom environments.
• Willingness to support international projects.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain mechanical piping systems, ensuring proper routing and secure connections.
• Perform cutting, threading, joining, and bending of pipes using welding, brazing, compression fittings, and mechanical coupling.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics for proper installation and system functionality.
• Conduct pressure and leak testing and inspections for safe operation.
• Troubleshoot piping issues including misalignments and leaks during installation and operation.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
• Collaborate with other trades and project stakeholders for seamless integration.
• Lead and supervise teams may occur, depending on experience.
• Adhere to OSHA and cleanroom contamination protocols.
