Qualifications

  • Current Idaho Journeyman Electrician license or eligibility via reciprocity.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation in commercial/industrial settings, preferably semiconductor environments.
  • OSHA credentials: OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 for supervisory roles.
  • Fluency in blueprint reading and working from 2D drawings.
  • Clear verbal and written communication in English.

Step Into the Fab: A Day in the LifeAt SemiConX LLC, you start your shift on the production side of a Boise, Idaho semiconductor facility, reviewing 2D drawings and blueprints, syncing with engineers and construction teammates, and mapping out the day’s work. Safety comes first—permits checked, lockout/tagout verified, PPE on—then it’s time to build, troubleshoot, and keep critical systems online.What You’ll DoInstall, repair, and maintain electrical systems—wiring, conduit, lighting, and control systems—across commercial and industrial environments within a semiconductor setting.Diagnose issues with precision instruments like multimeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to isolate faults and restore uptime quickly.Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specs to plan and execute installations accurately.Ensure full compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and rigorous safety standards.Inspect and service transformers, circuit breakers, and panelboards to confirm safe, reliable operation.Follow strict safety protocols—especially lockout/tagout—to protect people and equipment.Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other trades to deliver on time and within budget.Respond to emergency calls to troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems without delay.Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory so work is always ready to proceed.Mentor apprentices and junior electricians, sharing best practices and reinforcing safety.Complete detailed work orders, logs, and reports documenting work performed and materials used.What You BringCurrent Idaho Journeyman Electrician license (or eligibility via reciprocity).
