Job summary

Wedbush Securities is seeking an Equity Research Associate focused on semiconductors/hardware. You will deliver critical analysis, build sophisticated financial models, and publish notes to inform institutional investors.

The role involves interacting with executives and IR teams, and contributing to new initiations in a fast-paced research environment. You will join a premier sell-side research team with exposure to hedge funds and mutual funds, advising on tech trends and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in technology; networking or optical hardware preferred.
• Active FINRA licenses including SIE, 86 & 87; required within 120 days of start date.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth company analysis covering financials, competitive positioning, and growth trajectories.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models forecasting performance and valuation.
• Collect and analyze sector data; build databases and identify trends in semiconductors and hardware.
• Write and publish timely research notes informing institutional investors.
• Support existing coverage and contribute to new company initiations and sector deep-dives.
• Interface with C-suite executives and IR teams at leading tech companies.
• Articulate investment views to internal sales force and institutional clients.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
