Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, Virginia is seeking a Shift Equipment Technician to monitor, sustain and improve semiconductor toolsets, partnering with production teams and area engineers.

You will monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues. You will also be required to assist with equipment installs; tests; create and modify equipment

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electronics related field preferred or equivalent work/military experience.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits and electronics.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds and work in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in the assigned area.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on tool sets and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Assist with equipment installs; tests; create and modify equipment procedures; increase tool uptime.
• Monitor, analyze and address SPC issues for area processes daily and respond to SPC out of control issues.
• Keep Lead Tech/Lead Engineer updated on tool and area issues.
