Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a hands-on Equipment Technician to support maintenance, calibration, and builds for semiconductor testers (STS and UFP) in a regulated environment. The role blends assembly work with ongoing calibration and troubleshooting, with emphasis on accurate documentation and adherence to quality standards.

The position requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical, software, systems, or computer science and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, Systems, or Computer Science or similar field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance and assembly.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote, Outlook, Teams).
• Must be a hands-on individual with ability to lift 25 lbs and work in a cleanroom.
• Excellent communication skills in person, email, and MS Teams.
• Preferred: Soldering and troubleshooting electrical components; Spanish plus English; LabVIEW, C++, and/or Java; CAD programs such as SolidWorks, NX, Creo, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on equipment builds and assembly for semiconductor test platforms (STS and UFP).
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic circuits, read schematics, and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Build cable harnesses to specification.
• Write or support test protocols and equipment documentation in regulated environment.
• Maintain detailed documentation of testing, calibration, and build activities.
• Operate within regulated procedures and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with team via MS Teams and email.
• Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting in lab operations.
