Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer for 2nd shift (1:30 PM–11:00 PM, Mon–Thu, every other Friday off on a 9/80 schedule) to maintain and repair metal evaporation/sputter and lift-off tools in a cleanroom.

The engineer will troubleshoot, repair, and support a range of semiconductor processing equipment, with duties expanding to additional systems as needed. On-site role in the US with standard benefits and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and/or repairing manufacturing equipment.

Raytheon is hiring a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer assigned to 2nd shift with the hours of with the hours of 1:30Pm-11pm Mon-Thursday and every other Friday off on a 9/80 schedule. Candidate will be a shift support engineer and be responsible for the uptime and maintenance of Metal evaporation/Sputter systems and lift off equipment; and work hands on in a cleanroom environment. The candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of semiconductor processing equipment within the clean room environment. This Includes high levels of experience, electrical, electro-mechanical, and gas systems typically found in a semiconductor operation. Future expansion to support a wider range of equipment is expected

What You Will Do
  • Diagnosing equipment issues using experience, system knowledge, and technical manuals.
  • Triage and repair equipment based on priority and operational needs.
  • Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and/or repairing manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards
  • Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Have a fundamental knowledge of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new equipment installations.
  • Able to document work and provide detailed pass down.
  • Ability to pull and analyze tool date.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software.
  • Knowledge of thin‑film metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, TEM, XPS, FTIR).
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support a dynamic production setting.
  • Proficient use of MS Office products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
