Job summary

SUMCO is seeking an Equipment Engineer in Albuquerque to install, troubleshoot, and maintain process equipment. You will train staff, analyze failures, and implement improvements to keep manufacturing running smoothly.

The role emphasizes control systems development, wiring diagrams via AutoCAD, and a strong emphasis on gas delivery systems and semiconductor equipment knowledge. On-site position with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of related work experience.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex hardware and controls issues.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing equipment and high-purity gas and liquid delivery systems.
• PLC ladder logic programming with Mitsubishi, Omron, Keyence, and Allen Bradley.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains process equipment; trains employees.
• Develops and implements control systems (logic software and hardware) to meet machine requirements.
• Develops control logic software, UI applications, schematics, and panel layouts using AutoCAD.
• Supports delivery and qualification of process gases and maintenance of gas delivery systems.
• Debugs machines and integrated systems, implements upgrades, and updates system documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains process equipment. Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders, and replaces parts as needed.
• Responsible for developing and implementing control systems (logic software and hardware) to meet machine and integrated system requirements.
• Develop control logic software and user interface applications, develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts using AutoCAD software.
• Support the delivery and qualification of process gasses, and the maintenance and troubleshooting of process gas delivery systems.
• Debug machines and integrated systems, implementing system improvements and upgrades, and the development of and/or updates to system documentation.

Education and Skills Required:

• BS Electrical Engineering degree and 3+ years of related work experience and/or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong analytical skills, especially the ability to identify and resolve complex hardware and controls issues.
• Good understanding of semiconductor processing equipment and high purity gas and liquid delivery systems.
• PLC ladder logic programming. Mitsubishi, Omron, Keyence, and Allen Bradley.

This position is an on-site position with an annual salary range from $90,000 to $110,000 depending on education and experience.
