Job description

Rochester Electronics is hiring immediately for a Semiconductor Assembly Machine Operator (multiple positions, Entry level and experienced).

Temporary position with the potential for conversion to a permanent role within 30 to 60 days.

As an Assembly Operator, you have:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; previous experience in electronic/semiconductor assembly is helpful.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude. As a Rochester employee, it is expected that the individual supports and encourages the Rochester culture by adhering to work policies and practices.
  • Stable work history. We consider individuals with proven track records; we have never had a layoff!
  • Basic computer skills. Utilization of computer-based manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Needed for defining specifications, giving instructions, and reporting outcomes.
  • Attention to detail. Screening, visual inspection, measurement, and sorting of semiconductor devices.
As an Assembly Operator, you will:
  • Operate manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment with supervision.
  • Inspect die and packages to various Military and JEDEC standards using microscopes.
  • Follow defined specifications and instructions.
  • Use hand tools to process delicate products manually.
  • Train other employees on equipment operation and assembly processes.
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready work areas.
  • Utilize computer-based manufacturing systems to move products and enter data.
