Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Deployment Lead based in San Francisco to define and own how we deliver complex semiconductor solutions end-to-end. You will embed with customer teams, map workflows, and drive production deployments while coordinating with FDE, researchers, and product teams to ensure timely readiness and adoption.

You will manage milestones, dependencies, and trade-offs to protect the critical path, and translate business outcomes into technical plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership.
• Deep expertise in semiconductor workflows: RTL design, verification, EDA tooling, physical implementation.
• Proven track record leading large, high-stakes engagements with AI components.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery plan translating objectives into milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Drive day-to-day engineering execution across OpenAI FDE and customer teams.
• Embed with semiconductor customers to land production deployments and drive adoption.
• Shape deployments that integrate with customer infrastructure and toolchains.
• Partner with Product and Research to land components on time.
• Codify solution patterns and field signals to improve products.
• Own value cases, baselines, KPIs and post-deployment measurement.
• Help define how OpenAI engages Semiconductor customers.
