Job summary

Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery seeks a skilled Semi Driver to safely operate our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and transport waste to transfer destinations.

You must follow OSHA and DOT requirements and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure safe, compliant operations. Responsibilities include operating trucks, attaching/detaching trailers, ensuring proper waste disposal at landfills, and performing daily vehicle safety checks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Driver's License.
• Class A semi-truck experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate heavy-duty vehicles and properly attach/detach trailers is essential.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow directions from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-trucks in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Safely attach and detach the fifth wheel of full or empty semi-trailers throughout the shift.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste at the landfill.
• Conduct daily maintenance and safety checks of vehicles under your care.
• Follow directions from supervisors regarding required work.
• Report any unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage immediately.
