DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO is looking for a dedicated Trailer Technician to perform routine diagnostics and repairs on trailers and related equipment. You will use mechanical tools, service equipment, and follow manufacturer specifications, while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical field or equivalent
• ASE certifications desired but not required
• Must pass pre-employment knowledge or skill test, background check, medical exam
• Must have own tools and safety gear (steel-toed shoes, welding protection)
• Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Responsibilities

DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO JOB DESCRIPTION DEDICATED TRAILER TECHNICIAN Job Summary The Trailer Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs on all trailers and related equipment This role requires solid knowledge of mechanical tools service and diagnostic equipment and repair procedures Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect analyze and diagnose trailers and related equipment for mechanical issues and faulty parts
• Perform requested repairs according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on trailers and related equipment
• Develop and document action plans for all repairs; follow checklists and established protocols
• Aptitude in using various hand tools power tools and precision measurement tools eg calipers
• Conduct trailer body work and under carriage work eg air bag replacement cross members dolly legs tandem system
• Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues
• Follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairs
• Document causecomplaintcorrection in software system
• Maintain a clean organized and safe workplace including regularly cleaning and care of workspace tools and equipment
• Collaborate with coworkers and support team goals while being able to work independently
• Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines as well as common sense safety practices
• Safely operate a mobile repair vehicle if hiring for Mobile TechnicianSafety operate a Yard Switcher to move trailers on yard and into shop
• Perform other duties as assigned
