Dallas Trailer Repair Co. is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician to operate a mobile repair vehicle for routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and related equipment. You should have solid knowledge of basic mechanics, tools, service and diagnostic equipment, plus strong attention to detail and customer service skills.

You can work independently or as part of a team. The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to read and write in English, and 1–2 years of mechanical

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical aptitude
• Read and write in English for documentation and laws
• 1–2 years of mechanical or equivalent experience
• ASE certifications are desirable but not required
• Must pass pre-employment tests, background check, and drug/physical exam
• Must have own tools and safety gear

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile repair vehicle for routine maintenance and diagnostics on trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as listed in manuals
• Read and follow repair manuals and document solutions
• Order parts with prior approval and install or replace parts
• Ensure safe, organized workspace and maintain tools and PPE
• Complete paperwork and follow checklists while performing repairs
• Assist other maintenance staff when needed
• Work independently or as part of a team

JOB DESCRIPTION DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO MOBILE TRAILER TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

This position is responsible for safely operating a mobile repair vehicle for the routine maintenance diagnostics and repair on all trailers and related equipment To succeed in this role one should have a solid knowledge of basic mechanics tools service and diagnostic equipment as well as strong attention to detail excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work independently or as a team member

Key Responsibilities

Aptitude in using various hand tools power tools and precision measurement tools eg calipersMaintains diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including; electrical systems air systemsExecute required procedures for preventative maintenance inspectionsPerform inspections required by the companyPerform basic troubleshooting with electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systemsRead and follow the repair manualPerform repairs as listed in manualsOperate and maintain power equipmentOrder parts as necessary for equipment with prior approvalInstall andor replace new or reconditioned repair partsBasic testing of equipment for proper operationComplete proper paperwork as assignedMay be required to assist other maintenance employeesProblem solve and document an action plan for all repairs and follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairsEnsure a safe organized and tidy workspace including regularly cleaning and maintaining tools and equipmentCleaning and upkeep of the shop is necessary which will include sweeping cleaning and trash removalFollow all health and safety rules and guidelines as well as common sense safety practicesAbility to work independently as well as support coworkers able to work as part of team and work well with co workersPerform other duties as assigned
