Job summary

Dallas Trailer Repair Co. is seeking a Trailer Technician to diagnose and repair trailers and related equipment in a shop setting. The role requires solid mechanical know-how, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications include 12+ years of mechanical experience, ASE certifications (preferred), and the ability to pass a safety and background check. Tools and safety gear must be provided by the candidate.

Qualifications

• 12 years of mechanical or equivalent experience.
• ASE certifications highly desired but not required.
• Must pass pre-employment knowledge/skill test, background check (10 year) and drug/medical exam.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read and write in English for documentation and communication.
• Must have own tools and safety gear (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose trailers and related equipment for mechanical issues and faulty parts.
• Perform repairs according to industry standards and manufacturer specs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on trailers and related equipment.
• Complete trailer body work and undercarriage repairs (air bag replacement, etc.).
• Develop and document action plans for all repairs; follow checklists.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe workspace and proper PPE.
• Follow health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with coworkers and support team goals; work independently when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO TRAILER TECHNICIAN

The Trailer Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs on all trailers and related equipment This role requires solid knowledge of mechanical tools service and diagnostic equipment and repair procedures Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect analyze and diagnose trailers and related equipment for mechanical issues and faulty parts
• Perform requested repairs according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance on trailers and related equipment
• Complete trailer body work and undercarriage repairs eg air bag replacement cross members dolly legs tandem systems
• Develop and document action plans for all repairs; follow checklists and established protocols
• Maintain a clean organized and safe workspace including regular care of tools and equipment
• Follow all health and safety regulations and best practices
• Collaborate with coworkers and support team goals while being able to work independently when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Chemicals and limited ventilationHigh places confined spaces and loud noise

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate 25 35 depending on experience and location
