Job summary

Dallas Trailer Repair Co. is seeking a skilled Semi-Trailer Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of semi-trailers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with trailer systems, preventive maintenance, and DOT inspections, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on dry vans and other trailers, plus ensuring proper documentation, safety, and a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in trailer repair or heavy-duty mechanical work preferred.
• Knowledge of brakes, suspension, air, electrical, and structural systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Own tools and toolbox preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and physical.
• Competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair dry vans, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and other trailer types.
• Repair brakes, suspension systems, wheel ends, lighting, electrical systems, doors, roofs, and trailer structures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair air systems and trailer-related mechanical issues.
• Complete work orders and repair documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
