Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, based in Pascagoula, MS, seeks semi-skilled shipfitters to support fabrication, assembly and installation of structural ship components. You will work with steel, torches and various tools to help build America’s advanced naval vessels.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in metal fabrication or related trades, strong safety and teamwork mindset, and readiness to grow in a world‑class shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months trade experience.
• Experience in metal fabrication, shipyard work, construction, or related trade.
• Commitment to safety, precision and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural components in ship construction.
• Use torches, levels, tape measures, grinders and welding equipment.
• Assist with layout, alignment, cutting and fit-up of metal components.
