Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Retail Driver to haul non-touch retail freight to Northeast stores. Expected pay is about $105,000 per year with a $5,000 bonus, and the role includes a Thursday–Monday schedule with home time during the week and a 34-hour reset.

The position requires valid Class A CDL, at least 3 months of verifiable CDL experience, a DOT Medical Card, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Clean driving record.
• No SAP drivers.
• Ability to meet strict on-time service expectations.
• Flexibility to support intermodal, dedicated, and third-party freight.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
• Passengers and pets are not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Haul general retail freight to stores using drop-and-hook and live-unload operations.
• Pick up loaded trailers from customer distribution centers.
• Deliver to retail stores, including two Long Island locations outside NYC.
• Complete third-party backhaul pickups in New England, NY, and NJ as needed.
• Freight may include drop-and-hook, live unload, and live-load operations.
• Maintain on-time pickups, transit, and deliveries.
• Support intermodal operations, other dedicated accounts, and third-party loads when freight volume is low.
