Job summary

Salt City Trucking is hiring a CDL-A Semi-Local Retail Driver to haul no-touch retail freight to stores across the Northeast. Earn about $105,000 per year with a $5,000 bonus, set workdays, and hometime several times a week along with a 34-hour reset.

This position runs Thursday through Monday with start times around 11 PM–12 AM, averaging ~2,350 miles per week. Home 2–3 days during the workweek and a 34-hour reset. Seasonal peak adjustments may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• No SAP drivers

Responsibilities

• Haul general retail freight to stores using drop-and-hook and live-unload operations.
• Pick up loaded trailers from customer distribution centers.
• Deliver to retail stores, including two Long Island locations outside New York City.
• Complete third-party backhaul pickups in New England, New York, and New Jersey as needed.
• Freight may include drop-and-hook, live unload, and live-load operations.
• Maintain on-time pickups, transit, and deliveries.
• Support intermodal operations, other dedicated accounts, and third-party loads when freight volume is low.
• Account operates 24/7 and requires flexibility for customer service needs.
