Job summary

Salt City Trucking seeks a CDL-A Semi-Local Retail Driver to haul non-touch retail freight to stores throughout the Northeast. This position includes a $5,000 bonus, fixed workdays, and frequent home time with a 34-hour reset.

Expect automatic trucks from the East Brunswick terminal, 24/7 operations, and routes across New Jersey, New York, and New England. Minimum 3 months CDL experience and a valid DOT card are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card is required.
• A clean driving record is required.
• No SAP drivers apply.
• Ability to meet strict on-time service expectations.
• Flexibility to support intermodal, dedicated, and third-party freight.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
• Passengers and pets are not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Haul general retail freight to stores using drop-and-hook and live-unload operations.
• Pick up loaded trailers from customer distribution centers.
• Deliver to retail stores, including two Long Island locations outside NYC.
• Complete third-party backhaul pickups in New England, NY, and NJ as needed.
• Maintain on-time pickups, transit, and deliveries.
• Support intermodal operations and other loads when freight volume is low.
