Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a Semi Driver responsible for loading, securing, delivering, and picking up large construction equipment across the local metro.

You will instruct customers on safe use, complete required paperwork, and comply with DOT/FMCSA/Sunstate regulations.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card required.
• Minimum 2 years’ semi/heavy haul experience preferred.
• Experience with construction equipment is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, deliver, and pick up large construction equipment at customer sites.
• Instruct customers on safe operation of equipment and DOT compliance.
• Complete required paperwork and coordinate routes with dispatch.
• Maintain communication with customers and coworkers throughout deliveries.

Have you got what it takes?

This role’s responsibilities are all focused on one thing: Customer Satisfaction. As a Semi Driver for Sunstate, you will be loading, securing, delivering, and picking up various types of large construction equipment at customer sites throughout your area’s metro. This role also consists of instructing customers on safe and proper use of all equipment, completing required paperwork, and following all DOT/FMCSA/Sunstate regulations and protocols.

• You must have an unrestricted class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a semi is required, flatbed, or heavy haul preferred.
• Having some experience with construction equipment helps but is not required.
• Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading equipment.
• Be able to communicate with co-workers and customers effectively and professionally.
• Know your metro! Familiarize yourself with your surroundings, or at least be able to tell Google to get you from point A to B.
