Job summary

Gilbane Building Company, via its Next 150 Construction, LLC subsidiary, seeks an experienced self-perform Estimator to support estimates and proposals across multiple geographies in the United States. The role emphasizes take-offs for concrete, masonry, carpentry, metal framing & drywall, acoustical ceilings, and temporary services.

Location is flexible near any U.S. Gilbane office with potential limited travel.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Self-perform estimating background with take-offs and estimates for concrete work.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings and site logistics plans.
• Complete accurate on-screen take-offs for permanent and temporary scopes of work.
• Interact with vendors for material and services quotes.
• Support Project Operations teams with Change Management.
• Analyze project results and develop strategies for estimating improvement.
• Build a historical cost database by project type and geography.
• Develop and track estimates from Concept to Construction Documents.
• Produce clarifications and qualifications to support estimates.
