Job summary

Lifeworks is seeking a Self-Directed Hiring Technician to manage onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding for fiscal staff in a hybrid Richfield, MN role. You will be the first contact for Lifeworks employees, guiding them through hiring steps, documentation, and system updates with care and accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have HR experience, fluency in English, and proficiency with MS Office. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits, a 40-hour week, and yearly bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute onboarding steps for fiscal employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain data in CRM, Cashe, Pavillio, SL, Outlook and external systems.
  • Complete all termination steps and ensure data is properly documented and filed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to employment regulations.

Job description

The Self-Directed Hiring Technician provides an exceptional new hire experience for Lifeworks employees by managing all aspects of the onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding processes for fiscal staff. The Self-Directed Hiring Technician oversees the distribution of hiring events, ensures completion of all required documentation, and supports new hires through each stage of the onboarding process. Serving as the first point of contact for Lifeworks employees, this role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to guiding new employees smoothly through their onboarding journey.

Position Title:Self-Directed Hiring Technician

Department:Human Resources

Hours:Full-time; 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday (non-exempt)

Location:Lifeworks Services – Richfield, MN (Hybrid)

Compensation:$20.50 to $22.75 per hour

Bonus Eligible:Yearly

How you'll be spending your time:
  • Coordinating and executing all onboarding process steps for fiscal employees in a timely and accurate manner, including employment applications, DHS background studies, E-Verify, UMPI requests, and other related tasks.
  • Ensuring all data is entered or updated into appropriate systems (CRM, Cashe, Pavillio, SL, Outlook and external systems).
  • Completing all termination process steps for terminated fiscal employees ensuring all data is properly documented and filed, termination checklists are completed, and access is removed from appropriate systems.
  • Collaborating with program leaders, staff, and counterparts in other programs/regions to define, own performance of, and continuously improve procedures, and processes, delivering or exceeds performance related to accuracy, timeliness, cost, and both internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Providing excellent customer service to external and internal stakeholders to resolve issues or satisfy information requests. This can be facilitated either in-person, virtually, through e-mail or the telephone.
  • Responding to high volume of phone calls, emails, and inquiries with a strong sense of urgency, promptly resolving customer issues, addressing concerns, and providing accurate information while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • Maintaining, auditing and protecting confidential information according to HIPPA and internal compliance standards. Ensure adherence to state and federal employment regulations that cover their processing work.
  • Planning, managing and executing manual and automated workflows for all Lifeworks service lines. Regularly update database to ensure consistent, accuracy and timeliness in data sources and to processes dependent upon them.
  • Following safety procedures and assist in identifying safety needs for self and others. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must pass a background study with the Department of Human Services, a drug test, clean driving record and have reliable transportation to use for work driving purposes (e.g., in-office, on-site training locations, etc.).
