Qualifications

• Familiarity with creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored instruction in a self-contained setting to meet diverse student needs.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other educational professionals.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and growth.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor academic and behavioral progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Foster independence, problem-solving, and social skills through daily interactions.
• Participate in school meetings, staff development, and special education team planning.
