Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring a Self-Checkout Attendant in Grand Saline, TX. You will engage with customers, provide efficient checkout services, and monitor self-checkout lanes to maintain accuracy and speed while promoting carry-out options and a friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

Minimum three months of service as a cashier, office, or management experience recommended.
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

Maintain a consistent position at the entrance of the self-checkout lane when not assisting customers.
Direct customers to use self-checkout lanes based on availability and payment options.
Monitors transactions for accuracy.
Direct carry-out assistance to courtesy clerks.
Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary working environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Adhere to local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, cannabis-based and pharmaceutical products.
