Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three months of service as a cashier, office, or management experience recommended.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent position at the entrance of the self-checkout lane when not assisting customers.
• Direct customers to use self-checkout lanes based on availability and payment options.
• Monitors transactions for accuracy.
• Direct carry-out assistance to courtesy clerks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary working environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, cannabis-based and pharmaceutical products.

Maintains proficiency regarding transactions and accuracy of tender. Performs various customer service duties while maintaining a safe and sanitary shopping environment.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Maintains a consistent position at the entrance of the self-checkout lane when not assisting customers.* Directs and invites customers to use self-checkout lanes based on availability and payment method options.* Resolves varying customer interventions accurately and with a sense of urgency.* Closely monitors all transactions for accuracy.* Role model for “Jump-Over-the-Counter Service Excellence”* Monitors, scans, and labels items on the bottom of the shopping cart.* Communicates customers needing carry out assistance to courtesy clerks.* Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
