Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service and support customers with self-checkout at Store 00335 in Greensboro, NC. You will greet customers, assist with SCO usage, and help maintain a clean, efficient checkout area while following Food Lion standards and procedures.

Ideal candidates are high school graduates with strong communication skills. Physical requirements include standing for long periods and ability to lift light loads.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts properly including use of the hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout experience.
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including the scanning of all items and the accurate scanning of each item.
• Complete self-checkout voids, age restricted item verifications and any other SCO assist function in accordance with Front End Standard Practice.
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
