Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Selenium and Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web applications and APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

You should bring 7+ years of QA experience, 5+ years in Selenium, 2+ years in Playwright, and strong Java and JavaScript/TypeScript coding skills, plus solid SQL/database testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 7+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Selenium automation experience.
• 2+ years of Playwright automation experience.
• Strong coding skills in Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong SQL and database testing experience.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
• Create robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts.
• Execute automation suites and analyze test results.
• Design and implement Playwright-based modern UI automation solutions.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct API and backend validation testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation documentation.
• Identify automation opportunities and improve overall test coverage.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and release activities.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and establish automation best practices.
• Ensure high-quality releases while meeting project timelines.
