Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking an experienced Engineer to build and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks. You will develop automated Python scripts, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines from VS Code, and drive automation maturity across the team.

The role requires 7+ years in software testing and automation, deep knowledge of Playwright, PyTest, API/UI testing strategies, and experience with AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot.

Qualifications

7+ years of software testing experience with strong automation.
7+ years of hands-on automation development experience.
Strong experience with Playwright automation framework.
Hands-on coding in Python for test automation.
Experience using Visual Studio Code as primary IDE.
Experience with Playwright CLI / test execution.
Proven experience building modular, reusable automation frameworks.
Solid understanding of API testing and UI automation strategies.
Experience in PyTest or similar Python testing frameworks.
Experience in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into build workflows.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub, Copilot).
In-sprint automation strategies.
Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
Deep understanding of SDLC and QA lifecycle.
Domain knowledge of banking/financial systems.

Playwright automation framework, Python, AI-assisted development tools ( GitHub, Copilot), Pytest, Python-based testing framework, CI/CD Pipelines, Agile/scrum , UFT/Selenium
