Job summary

Harris Teeter seeks a Grocery Warehouse Selector for 1st shift (7am start) to safely and efficiently pick items, stack pallets, and wrap products for shipment. You will maintain records of daily production and ensure pallets are placed in the designated loading area.

The role requires reliable attendance and adherence to safety procedures. Qualifications include a High school diploma or GED and forklift certification potential.

SELECTOR Grocery Warehouse - 1st shift (7am start)

Summary: Responsible for safely, accurately and efficiently selecting, stacking and wrapping product, within establishment guidelines for shipment to stores. Must ensure that finished pallets are placed in the proper loading area and that records of outed product and daily production are maintained.

Qualifications:

Other Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; and Internet software systems.

Certificates and Licenses:

Ability to pass forklift certification.
