Job summary

Maola Local Dairies in Newport News, VA is seeking a Selector for the 2nd shift. The role involves evaluating and selecting milk products to meet quality and customer specifications, with hours from 4:00pm to 12:30am and overtime as needed.

The position pays $18.00 per hour, with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, life insurance, and paid time off within the first month. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or International Education Equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pull customer orders in sequence and place products on conveyor chain.
  • Check each item after products are placed on the line.
  • Apply the appropriate customer information to the product they select.
  • Document code dates on load sheets as required.
  • Identify and report all quality issues to their supervisor.
  • Picks up trash and cooler spills from the work area and hoses down the chains, chain covers, and the floor daily.
  • Manually palletizing products using a hand truck (dolly).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Perform basic math skills.

SUMMARY

A Selector is responsible for evaluating and selecting various types of milk products based on quality, specifications, and customer requirements.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
