Overview

Shift: 1st – Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Hourly pay: $18.00 per hour.

Summary

A Selector evaluates and selects various types of milk products based on quality, specifications, and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders in sequence and place products on the conveyor chain.
• Check each item after placement on the line.
• Apply the appropriate customer information to the selected product.
• Document code dates on load sheets as required.
• Identify and report all quality issues to the supervisor.
• Pick up trash and cooler spills, and hose down chains, chain covers, and the floor daily.
• Manually palletize products using a hand truck (dolly).
• Perform basic math skills.
• Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or international education equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Employee must regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; sit, stand, and walk; talk and hear. Must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50–60 pounds and push/pull stacks of products weighing up to 200 pounds.

Work Environment

• Work may occur in a cooler room with varying temperatures and contact with water or dairy liquids.
• Environment may be noisy (≈90 decibels) and wet/slippery.
